Daughter of Reuben Haines Noah and Sarah Austin. Sister to Leona, Nelson, Thomas Jefferson, Lucian Bonaparte, Jacob, Leona Eugene, and Leona Elizabeth.Granddaughter of John Matthew and Elizabeth Schmidt/smith.

Move to Missouri: from Minevra's diary -- In the spring of 1845 my father sold his farm of 60 acres. On the 2nd of May we started for Missouri via; Canal from Newton Falls, 10 miles from our home, to Beaver, thence by steamboat down the Ohio River and up the Mississippi and Missouri to Camden on the missouri River and then by ox team a distance of 60 miles from river to our new home on Dog Creek 5 miles southwest of Gallatin, the county seat, Daviess County, Missouri on the 2nd of June 1845.

She was baptized by Brother George Flint in the Des Moines River, Port Richmond, Wapello co., Iowa.
