On the 2nd of May we started for Missouri via; Canal from Newton Falls, 10 miles from our home, to Beaver, thence by steamboat down the Ohio River and up the Mississippi and Missouri to Camden on the missouri River and then by ox team a distance of 60 miles from river to our new home on Dog Creek 5 miles southwest of Gallatin, the county seat, Daviess County, Missouri on the 2nd of June 1845.
She was baptized by Brother George Flint in the Des Moines River, Port Richmond, Wapello co., Iowa.
