Evelyn Belma Satterfield Koval, 94, of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday (Dec. 30, 2008) at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Marion County on Aug. 29, 1914, a daughter of the late William and Ruby Hawkinberry Satterfield. Mrs. Koval was a homemaker and mother. She had been a resident of Golden Living Center in Morgantown for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only child, a son, Robert Gary Koval, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War. She was the last survivor of her family of three sisters, Kathleen Satterfield, Edith Galian and Gail Federoff; and a brother, Dewey Satterfield. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call at the Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont from 11a.m.-1 p.m. Monday. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. D. D. Meighen officiating. Interment services will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
