Jake A. Decker, Burlington, died Tuesday night, November 8, 1977 at St. Francis hospital in Topeka where he was admitted earlier in the day.

He was born October 30, 1893 at Hartford and lived most of his life in the Burlington area.

He was married to Catherine C. Dempsay. She died August 25, 1936. Mr. Decker had farmed and also worked in the service department of a garage.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus Council 6055 at Burlington.

He is survived by three sons and three daughters, Leo Decker, Burlington; Floyd Decker, Carroll, Ia.; James Decker, Tecumseh; Mrs. Mary Butts, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. Maxine Gates, Chanute; and Mrs. Anna Laws, Union City, Tenn.

He is also survived by a brother, Frank Decker Sr., Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. Susie Kruger, also of Burlington; Mrs. Flora Riebel, Humboldt; and Mrs. Emma Norman, Twin Falls, Idaho; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
