William Aller, 80, of 222 W. Linden Rd. died early this morning, Feb 1, from a brief illness at a local hospital. Funeral arrrangements are under the direction of the Henderson Funeral Home.

William L. "Bill" Aller, 80, 222 W. Linden, died early Thursday morning, Feb. 1, at a local hospital from an extended illness. He was born Sept. 28, 1909 in Lewiston, Utah to Hyrum and Eliza (Nelson) Aller. He attended schools there and in Freedom, Wyo. He married Inda Mae Hudson Dec. 20, 1941 in Idaho Falls.

He spent his early years on the family ranch in Star Valley, and as a working cowboy in the Diamond Creek area near Soda Springs. He also worked in construction in Pocatello prior to World War II. He served in the U.S. Army, 91st Infantry during the war in North Africa and Italy.

He joined the Idaho State Brand Department in 1948 and served as deputy brand inspector until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the Idaho Peace Officers Association and enjoyed hunting, fishing, rodeo and raising and training quarter horses. He also helped his children and grandchildren successfully compete in rodeos.

He is survived by his wife, of Pocatello; one son, John William (Bill) Aller, also of Pocatello; a daughter, Mrs. Dick (Lonna Jean) Conroy, McCammon; three grand-daughters of Pocatello and McCammon; two brothers, Jess and Kanzel Aller, both of Pocatello.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Hyrum, two sisters, Della Mikesell and Nelva Blake, and a grand-daughter.

Services will be Monday, 1 p.m. in Henderson Funeral Chapel, 431 No. 15th Ave., with Fred Davies of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from noon until time of service on Monday at Henderson. Burial will be in the family plot in Mountainview Cemetery.
