Mrs. Lenora V. Carter of Sumner died today in Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wabash County Sept. 5, 1889.
Surviving are two step-sons, Jerry Pierson of Carbondale and James Rose of Whiteland, Ind.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, John Harness of Lancaster.
She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Services will be at the Sivert Funeral Home in Sumner, with Jack Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Abby Hazelton Harness, and her husband, Benjamin Carter.
