ARTHUR FARNWORTH DEAD AT AGE 78
Arthur M. Farnworth, 78, of 1638 Elk St., Rock Springs, died at 3:55 p.m. Tues., Sept. 14, at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County where he had been a patient for the past two days. A resident of Rock Springs for the past 13 years and former resident of Ely, Nev. and Gridley, Calif., Mr. Farnworth died after a brief illness.
He was born in Marion, Idaho on March 25, 1904, the son of the late Hyram and Josephine Staker Farnworth. He attended schools in Ashton, Idaho and Married the former Elda Mae Kelley in Reno, Nev., on Jan. 22, 1934. Mr. Farnworth was employed by Delgado Oil Company at the time of his death and was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include his wife of Rock Springs; one son, Mike; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Osborne, Mrs. Bob (Fay) Tognini, both of Rock Springs, and Mrs. Jim (Louise) Maxey of Bakersfield, Calif.; one sister Lyda Horn of Gridley, Calif., 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Farnworth was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services are pending.
