Funeral services for Elsie Emily DuPape, 70, of No. 6 District, Rock Springs, were conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. at the First Methodist Church, the Rev. Raymond E. Logan officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Eugene Cox, Mark Cox, Herman Faccio, Mickey Cox, John L. Faccio and Richard Ainscough.

Mrs. DuPape died Monday, April 23, at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, where she had been a patient for eight days. She had been in ill health since January.

She was born Nov. 14, 1902 at Kirkwood, Kan., the daughter of the late Leon and Mary Jean Balm Herbin.

She married Richard N. DuPape in 1920 in Gerrard, Kan.

Mrs. DuPape had been a resident of Reliance and Rock Springs since 1920 and had formerly resided in Dunkirk, Kan. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Young-at-Heart Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include her husband, Richard of Rock Springs; two sons, Raymond and Robert, both of Rock Springs; one brother, Leonard Herbin of Green River; three sisters, Mrs. William (Bertha) Ackerson of Guernsey, Wyo., Mrs. Lizzie Belle Lojovic of Cumberland, B.C., Canada, and Mrs. Marie Ellen Cornet of Meadow Lake, Sask., Canada, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Henry and Wallace.
