"Jewell MALLORY RAYBURN, June 15, 1908-January 27, 2008 // CLEVELAND, GA -- Jewell RAYBURN, 90 [sic - 89 years of age], passed away Sunday evening January 27, at her residence in Cleveland, GA. // Mrs. RAYBURN, affectionately known as 'Mama Jewell,' had been living in Cleveland since 1999. She resided with her daughter Janice McGHEE and the late Rev. Jerry McGHEE. // Graveside service will be held Thursday, January 31 at Parkhill Cemetery at 2 PM, with the Rev. Doug MERCK offiating. The family will receive friends at McMullen Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. Mama Jewell's grandsons will be pallbearers. // Mrs. RAYBURN was born on June 15, 1908 in Americus, GA, she was the daughter of Jessie B. and Annie M. MALLORY. She attended Columbus Schools and gradcuate from Columbus Industrial [later called Jordan] High School. Mrs. RAYBURN was employed by Britton and Dobbs Cypress Chapel, Striffler-Hamby Mortuary and Retired from the Pastoral Institute at the Bradley Center. She was a member of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church, Cleveland, GA. // Mrs. RAYBURN was preceeded in death by her husband, George Robert RAYBURN; her parents; son-in-law Jerry McGHEE; and daughter-in-law Marilyn RAYBURN. Also preceeding her in death were two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Theda FLANAGAN. // We will always remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
