Noble Delk, age 89, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Delk was born June 17, 1919 in Jamestown, Tennessee. He was a painter. He was a member of the Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish and was a great father and grandfather.

Mr. Delk is survived by five sons, Johnnie Delk and wife Janice, Randy Delk, Tony Delk and wife Carissa, Junior Ray Delk and wife Pam and Ricky Campbell and wife Melissa all of Jamestown; eleven daughters, Irene Owens of Columbus, OH, Maxine Wallburn and husband Bill of Petersburg, IN, Jewel Fulcher of Washington, IN, Norma Brown and companion Jerry Rector, Sandy Carender and husband Kevin and Debbie Oliver and husband Tom all of Muncie, IN, Kathy Owens and companion Mitch Stephens, Vickie Duvall, Debbie Lowery, Annie Swafford and husband Roger and Lois Jean Wright all of Jamestown, TN; daughter-in-law, Belinda Delk of Jamestown, TN; fifty-seven grandchildren; one hundred and six great-grandchildren; twenty-eight great-great-grandchildren; brother, Orien Delk of Jamestown, TN; sister, Wilma Delk of Jamestown, TN; and first wife, Ruth (Beaty) Byrns of Muncie, IN.

Mr. Delk was preceded in death by second wife, Thelma (Campbell) Delk; father, Woodson Delk; mother, Alice (York) Delk; two sons, Gene Delk and Larry Delk; grandson, Darrell Lee Campbell; two great-grandchildren, Spencer Duncan and Marcus Lee Campbell; two brothers, Clyde Delk and Cletis Delk; four sisters, Lucy Gunter, Ruth Stinson, Genieve Smith and Reba Cooper; two sons-in-law, Bill Owens and James Duvall; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Sue (Lane) Delk.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Leeman Cravens and Bro. Oney Wright officiating.

Burial followed in the Franklin Cemetery. Active pallbearers included Kevin Carender, Junior Ray Delk, Timmy Swafford, Jerry Rector, Randy Delk and Scottie Delk.

Honorary pallbearers included Wesley Harding, David Ray Wright, Aaliyah Kassow, Keisha Swafford, Michael Campbell, Johnny Delk, Tony Delk, Douglas Delk, Tyawa Delk, Machalla Campbell, Ricky Campbell, Tyrell Campbell, T.C. Campbell, Jolena Upchurch and William Lee.
