She was P.F.C. as there was no rating for her job, however, she was recommended for Officer Candidate School, but did not accept. Augie received a B.S. Degree from Peabody College for Teachers and a M.A. Degree from Tex. Univ. in Shreveport, La. She belonged to the First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School.
