OBITUARY:

Maggie Singletary Grooms of Rebecca St., North Charleston, wife of Arnold Grooms, died Tuesday at a local hospital.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Stur's North Area Chapel. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.

Mrs. Grooms was born June 1915, in Berkeley County, a daughter of Thomas Singletary and Carrie Chubb Singletary. She was a Baptist.

Surviving are her husband; sons, Thomas Grooms and Nelson Weatherford, both of North Charleston; four daughters, Geneva Rudd of Ridgeville, Alline Fairburn of Hueytown, Ala, and Marie McCoy and Betty Jean Weatherford, both of North Charleston; a brother, Ennis Singletary of Eutawville; three sisters, Dezie Singletary of Ridgeville, Lottie Weatherford of Charleston Heights and Margie Douglas of Summerville, 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

GROOMS – The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Grooms are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter at Stuhr's North Area Chapel, Friday morning, March 12, 1982, at 11 o'clock. Internment Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at Stuhr's North Area Chapel this Thursday between the hours of 4 and 9 p.m.
