Julia was a midwife for Lincoln Co., having delivered over 100 babies in the years from 1883-1908. She was one of the founding members of the Nazarene church and campground at Angus. She marreid Lewis W. Bourne March 12, 1856 in Grayson Co. The moved from VA to TX in 1869 and came to the Bonita in 1881.
Seven children blessed this union, two dying in childhood, and the remaining all live in Lincoln Co. They are Pinkie A. Skinner, Cleve C. Bourne, Carrizozo, Robert and Mrs. W. R. White of Nogal, Wm. S. Bourne of Capitan.
She had 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
