Helena came to America in 1879 with her husband, Nils Rang and 2 young babies, John Kenneth Rang, and Selma Josephine Rang. Their destination was Chicago. Nils had a brother there, Carl Rang, and a sister who never married, Mary Rang.
All were born in Sweden. Nils and Helena then jouneyed to Wisconsin, where four more children were born, all sons. Then on to Minnesota, where they had their last 2 children, 2 daughters. At some point about 1906, Nils and Helena went to Denver , Colorado. For what, we can only guess. Nils died there. Helena went on to Montana where her sons homesteaded. She died in Sidney , Montana many years later. Her body was taken to Denver to be placed beside her husband.
