Billie Jo Crawford, 72, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 4, 2009, at Church Hill Healthcare & Rehab Center after an extended illness. She was born in Kingsport on January 29, 1936.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary Brickey; three sisters; three brothers; and a great-granddaughter

Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Crawford of Kingsport, Tabatha Garber and special friend, Johnny Necessary of Limestone, and Shelby Ferguson and husband Allen, of Chuckey; three sons, Larry Crawford and wife Debbie of Ohio, Eddie Crawford and wife Marilyn of Kingsport, and Wayne Crawford and wife Teresa also of Kingsport; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Adkins and husband Wallace of Chuckey; five brothers, Bud Brickey and wife Betty of Kingsport, Roy Brickey of Kingsport, Paul Brickey and wife Geraldine of Church Hill, Freddie Brickey and wife Jennifer of Church Hill; a special brother and sister-in-law, Ship and Dorothy Brickey of Limestone; and special friends, Mary Craddoc and Brenda Barrett.

The family will receive friends any time at the home of a daughter, Shelby Ferguson and Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00 Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Freddy Redman, Rev. David Roy Brickey, and Rev. Paul Brickey officiating. Music will be provided by Sonya Redman and Michael Crawford. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Wallen and Johnny Necessary.

The family would like to express special thanks to Roy and Paul for always being there for Mom.
