Luzernia was first married to Silas Willson Morrell and bore seven children by him. When Silas died from complications of a saw mill accident, she remarried William Henry Long and bore two additional children with him.


DUCHESNE WOMAN SUCCUMBS AFTER A LONG ILLNESS

Mrs. Luzerna Allred Long, 83, died at her home in Duchesne Thursday at 10 a.m. of causes incident to age, after a long illness.
Mrs. Long was born in Spring City, Utah, April 29, 1854, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allred. She married Silas Morrell. A daughter of this union, Mrs. Chloe Jackson, Freemont (sic), Utah, is said by relatives to be the first girl born in Wayne county. Other children surviving are: Clare Robinson, Mary Anderson, both of Freemont (sic); Martha Jobe, Helper and Ernest Morrell, Duchesne.
Forty-two years ago, Mrs. Long married Mr. Long, who died last Thanksgiving. Two daughters of this union survive: Mrs. Viola Eilers, Farmington and Mrs. Vinda Merkeley, Duchesne.
Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of relatives.
