Fred Fountaine, 71, Former Resident Of Momence, Dies

Momence - (JNS) - Fred Fountaine, 71, of Momence died at his home in Gary, Ind., Tuesday after being in poor health for two years.
Funeral services for the former barber will be held at St. Patrick Church in Momence at 10 a.m. on Friday with the Rev. John Kelley officiating.
Friends may call at the Canaday-Boos Funeral Home in Momence after 7 p.m. on Thursday and until the time of services. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Fountaine was born March 31, 1882, in Momence and in 1907 he went to Spokane, Wash., where he ramained until 1927 when he returned to Momence. In 1947 he went to Gary.
Surviving are sons Clifford and Kenneth Fountaine of Spokane; sisters, Mrs. Napoleon Charboneau and Mrs. Jack Morris of Momence, and Mrs. Ernest Hurst of St. Louis; brothers, Joseph and Albert of Momence and Everet of New York City; and several nephews and nieces.
