"Funeral services for Charles E. Sappenfield, 69 years old, who died Thursday afternoon at his home, 1134 South Dodgion street, Independence, will be at the Walnut Park Latter Day Saints church in that city at 1 o'clock this Sunday, in charge of Elder Joseph Luff. The burial will be in Mound Grove cemetery. Mr. Sappenfield is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ora Crandall of the home; a son, Del Sappenfield of New York; a sister, Mrs. Ida Bracken of Georgetown, Ind.; and three brothers, James Sappenfield of Independence, Emanuel Sappenfield of Indianapolis, Ind., and Lewis Sappenfield of Georgetown, Ind."
