He was born here on December 28, 1909, the son of John S. and Bertha Holding Phillips. He attended Saint Paul schools and worked as a plasterer. since 1955 he had been an employe at the Heaton box factory here.
On July 10, 1933, he was married to neoma Aikins and she survives. Also surving is a brother, John, Saint Paul, and two sister, Mrs. Katie Wiman, Erie, and Mrs. Lillie Moody, Saint Paul.
Liturgical prayers will be said at 3:30 P.M. Sunday at the Carson-Dick Funeral Home in Saint Paul, Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Saint Francis Church, conducted by the Rev. Joachim Gemperline, C.P. Burial will be in Saint Francis Cemetery. Friends may call at the Carson-Dick Funeral Home here Sunday.
