His parents were William and Caroline Chisum, of Madison Co. Tennessee. He married, Sarah ? and on the 1880 Tennessee census, they were living next door to his parents. His and Sarah's children were: Sarah, Eula, Ida, Tolbert Rando (f) and Edgar B Chisum. Sometime after this, Sarah died, and he married Melissa F.(Jordon) Chisum. They moved to Texas where some children were born, and then Oklahoma by 1910 but by 1920 they were in Texas where relatives were. He died while living there.
His and Melissa's children were: Gaston, Cecil, Clifton, Claude, Lorena and Alleyna Chisum. All of them died in Okla, as well as his widow, and most if not all, are buried in same cemetery as her. He was a farmer by occupation. His death was attributed to heart problems. His forefathers were truly pioneers helping settle this country.
