Henry Hampton "Hamp" or "H.H" Rowland was born to Doctor Franklin "Dock" or "D.F." and Frances A. Shaw Rowland. He married to Nancy "Nannie" Abigale Hawkins on May 18, 1895. Together they had 2 children: Estie Frances Rowland Swearingen and Isaac Newton Rowland. After Nannie's death, Hamp married Laura D. Alspaw on November 5, 1904. Together their children were: Mayme Sue Rowland Goslin, Mattie Mae Rowland, and twins Fern Rowland Williams and Dewey Forest Rowland. (After doing a death certificate search, I found that Hamp and Laura had 3 other children who passed away at the age of 1 and 11 months- Mabel Leon & Mary Lila Rowland (twins) and Jake Rowland).
