In her early life she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and all thru the years she has been a faithful and devoted Christian, always ready with a helping hand whenever and whereever she was needed. On Oct 19, 1893, she was married to Charles W. Butler at Macon, MO. To this union six children were born.
She will be sadly missed by her loved ones and her many friends, for to know her, was to love her. She passed away on Sept 16, 1958, at 1:15 p.m. at the St Joseph Hospital in Centerville, Iowa at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 28 days.
Her husband preceded her in death Sept 6, 1943. She leaves to mourn her passing four sons and two daughters, who are Frank Butler, Albia, Iowa; Lloyd Butler, Royal Oak, Mich; Lester G. Butler, Cocoa, Fla; Hubert K Butler, Omaha, Neb; Florence Green, Portland, ore; and Goldie Laske, Numa, Ia; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves three brothers and one sister: Ed Hinton, Macon, Mo; Will Hinton, Kansas city, Mo; Hugh Hinton, Moberly, Mo; Mrs. Dolly Davis, Moberly, MO.
She was a member of the Methodist church and she attended serves there as long as her health permitted.
Furneral services were held at the Methodist Church Friday, Sept 19, conducted by the Rev. Johnson, taking his text from the 6th chapter of Matthew. Mrs. Phyllis Grenko of Numa and Mrs. Betty Grundy, Numa sang two beautiful selections, "Ivory Palaces," and "Haven of Rest." They were accompanied by Mrs. Will Dudley at the piano.
The huge array of beautiful flowers was a token of love and friendship, from her many freinds. She was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the Oakland Cemetery.
