Lexton Harley Albritton was the son of Harley Jefferson Albritton and his wife Ruby Bell Altman, who were married 24Dec1914 in DeSoto County, Florida.

Mr. Shorty Albritton, as he was fondly known by family, friends and the community, married Miss Minnie Thomas in 1940 Hardee, County, Florida.

He was first listed in a US Federal Census in 1920 DeSoto County Florida when he was only a few months old in the town of Bowling Green. This was before his family's homestead was divided into current day Hardee County Florida.

In 1930, he is listed with his Family in Hardee County Florida. During the special State Census in 1935 he is still living with his parents records show he was in the 8th grade in school that year. In the State Census of 1945, he is shown with wife Minnie and 2 children, living in Bowling Green, FL. Later he moved his family consisting of his wife and 4 children to a home just south of Zolfo Springs, FL on HWY 17.

Shorty was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Zolfo Springs, Florida for several decades.
