Elsie Jane Garland Staggs, 97, of Leoma, TN, died Thursday, Jun. 12, 2008, at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Fannin Co., GA, a homemaker, and a member of Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church. Her parents were the late Samuel Harrison Garland and Arizona Long Garland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J. Earl Staggs.

She is survived by two daughters, Reba Pauline Williams of Lawrenceburg, TN and Mildred Arizona Staggs Cade of Leoma, TN. One sister, Lois Garland Self of Lewisburg, KY. Grandchildren: Steve & Dianne Williams of Killen, AL, Retha & Tom Johnston of Lawrenceburg, TN, Tony & Lylene Williams of Leoma, TN, Greg Cade of Chapel Hill, TN and Rhonda & Gary Pulley of Chandler, TX. Twelve great-grandchildren. Eight great-great- grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Saturday, Jun. 14, 2008 , with David Parr, Paul Violet & Duel Self officiating. Interment followed in the Second Creek Cemetery in Lawrence Co., TN.
