Alene Mae Guest, 79, of Las Cruces, NM died Friday November 21, 2003 at Las Cruces Nursing Center. She was born April 9, 1924 in Stonewall, OK to George and Emily Hoover Melton.
Alene was a member of the Eastern Stars, enjoyed the outdoors, and gardening. As a homemaker, Alene loved cooking, especially during the Holidays; she enjoyed caring for her family, and had an undying love for her husband.
She was survived by her two daughters; Mary Nell Washburn and husband Willie, and Jeannie Radtke both of Las Cruces, NM. One brother Eual Melton of Deming, NM five grandchildren Steven Washburn, Peggy And husband Bob Risner, David Prince and wife Karen , Kathy and husband Clark Criswell, and Russell Prince and wife Heather, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willie A. Guest, brothers; Willis and H.O. Melton, sisters; Reba Byrd, Laurea Johnson and Wilma Horn.
A graveside service was held at Masonic Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. Officiating was Rev. Ed Terry.
