(that's correct, Ruth's grandparents were first cousins)
RUTH POAGE, was the last of seven children born to William Hopkins Poage and Elizabeth Ann Pollard.
She married on December 26, 1894 to Alonzo Gilbert Dooley. Only aware of one child; Opal Ruth Rives is buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery within the county.
I have noted William was born in Greenup co., Kentucky (and most likely died in Monroe co.(read on.)
Family moved to Monroe co, Missouri where Ruth's other siblings married (Sarah C. married to an Albert Henderson; Mary Jane married a Benjamin Franklin Vaughn -- fourth child of Eliza Poage (Ruth is a niece of Eliza!) and William M. Vaughan (Perry, MO); and Amanda Cordella married to a James Yowell.)
William's wife, Elizabeth Ann (Pollard) Poage is said to have died in Florida, Mo.
(Her grandmother Jane Mary Poage (1784-1831) is buried somewhere in Monroe Co., with her husband Major James Robert Poage (1784-1850))
