Mr. Durham died October 28, 1993, in Pasadena following an illness.
Born June 28, 1957 in Pasadena, he was a lifelong resident of that city. He was graduated from South Houston High School in 1975 and received a degree in psychology and a bachelor of arts degree in business from Baylor University in 1980. He earned a masters degree in business administration from Baylor in 1981.
Following colleg, he returned to the Houston area where he was employed as a credit analyst for Interfirst Bank and then as an assistant treasurer for Bank of New York. In 1987, he received a masters degree in social work from the University of Houston Graduate School of Social Work and then was employed as a psychotherapist until he became unable to work due to an illness.
He was an avid genealogist and the author of a book about the Durham Family of Tyler County and other descendents of Matthew Durham (c1730-1795) of Orange County, N.C. He was a member of the Heart of Texas Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Survivors include his parents, Jewel and Fain Durham of Pasadena; a brother and sister-in-law, Rodney F. and Debbie Durham of Victoria; a grandmother, Falbia V. Durham of Colmesneil; and three nephews.
Pasadena Funeral Home directed the arrangements in Pasadena. Riley Funeral Home of Woodville directed the burial and graveside rites.
