Bonnie R. Boone-Hayden, 97, of Parsons, died at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Elmhaven West Nursing Home in Parsons.

She was born December 27, 1911, in Alto, Texas, to Jessie R. and Sally (Gillman) Jones. As a young girl, she grew up in McAlester, Oklahoma. In the 1940's, she moved to southeast Kansas where she lived in Oswego and later Parsons.

She enjoyed needlework, sewing, and had given numerous hand-stitched blankets as gifts to family and friends.

She and Ira W. Boone were married September 1, 1928, in McAlester, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death August 6, 1973. She and Jesse A. Hayden were married November 18, 1982. They later divorced.

SURVIVORS: One Son – Kenneth L. Boone and his wife, Rosella Dennis, KS Seven Grandchildren Numerous Great-Grandchildren One Brother – Jess Jones Dayton, TX

She was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, one son, Richard Boone; and one daughter, Wanda Crozier.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2009, at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call after noon on Sunday at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
