Ruby J. Parrish, 92, of Paris died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Henry County Healthcare Center.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Fred Shackelford will officiate. Burial will follow in Bevill Cemetery.

Grandsons and Mark Hamilton were named as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday and after noon Sunday.

Born Feb. 6, 1914, in Holladay, she was a daughter of the late George Ed Bailey and Lela Jones Bailey.

Her husband, William Edward Parrish, died Sept. 7, 1991. They were married in December 1941.

She was a homemaker and member of Springhill Baptist Church.

She leaves two daughters: Sarah (Finis) Wilson of Mansfield and Sue (Jimmy) Wiseman of Camden; one son: Wallace Parrish of Henry; eight grandchildren: Carrie Martinez, David (Cindy) Wilson, Jon (Alissa) Parrish, Dennis Wilson and Kevin Parrish, all of Paris, Tim Wiseman and Angela (Brent) Holland, both of Camden, and Belinda (Lowell) Brown of Cadiz, Ky.; and nine great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters; and three brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Springhill Baptist Church building fund, 1301 Spring Hill Road, Paris.
