William Pitman
WHELLER, Or., July 16. - (Special) – William Pitman, who was killed July 10 when struck in the back by a line from a donkey engine while pulling snags and drift from the Nehalem river, was buried in Sandy, Or., by the Oddfellows, of which he was an active member. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Pitman, at Garibaldi, and three daughters and two sons, Mrs. J. J. Chiaramonte of Huber, Or., Misses Winnifred and Eva Pitman of Los Angeles, Theodore Pitman of Orenco and Archie Pitman of Hillsboro. He is also survived by two brothers, F. C. Pitman of Hoquiam and J. M. Pitman of Tualatin, four sisters and three stepdaughters.
