Mrs. Emma Townsend, 86, one of the early pioneers of Ionia county, died Wednesday morning on the farm where she has lived more than 60 years. She is the widow of Wm. Townsend, who died about 15 years ago. Funeral services will be held at the farm home Friday at two o'clock, with interment in Clarksville cemetery.
Mrs. Townsend is survived by eight sons, Chauncy, Earl, Jay, George, Roy, Ray, William and Glenn of whom all live nearby the old home excepting Jay, who resides in Grand Rapids.
