Mrs. Tillie Apodaca, mother of former sheriff, A.L. "Happy" Apodaca, died in a hospital at Albuquerque yesterday.
Was a county pioneer: Mrs. Apodaca was 72, was born in Las Cruces and a resident of Garfield at the time of her death. She had been visiting her son Eddie in Albuquerque when she was stricken by illness.
Mrs. Apodaca is survived by eight sons; David of Los Angeles, Raymond of Garfield, A.T. of Las Cruces, Eddie of Albuquerque, A.T. and B.C. of Garfield, Tom of Garfield and Harry.
She is survived by a brother Jim Luchini and two sisters; Mrs. Joe Gonzales, and Mrs. Duran of Las Cruces.
