Graveside service for Margaret Ann Wade Akiona, 66, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Charles Kriss, pastor, Calvary Baptist Church, Walters, officiating.

Mrs. Akiona died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, in a local care center.

Burial will be under direction of Becker Funeral Home.

She was born May 22, 1942, in Lawton to George Curtis and Lela Wade. She married Noe Nolan "Ricky" Akiona on Dec. 2, 1962, in Lawton. She graduated from Lawton High School and was a member of Central Baptist Church. She ran the snack bar at Memorial Hospital from 1960 until 1976, and then ran the snack bar at the Comanche County Courthouse from 1976 until 1991.

Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law: Roberta and Leon Mitchell, and Pat McKelvey, all of Lawton; two nieces: Shelley Simonsen and Kim McKelvey, both of Lawton; a nephew, Marty McKelvey, Lawton; two great-nephews: Severin and Gunnar Simonsen, and two great-nieces: Emily and Riann McKelvey, all of Lawton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Kay Carey.
