Jerry Johnson Brantham Sr., 75, of 524 Rockvale Drive, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002.

He was the husband of Ella McLaurin Brantham, and was a son of the late Thomas and Eliza Johnson Brantham.

Mr. Brantham served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a Baptist minister and was a member of New Testament Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Terrie and Steve Futrell of Roanoke, Va., Sherry and Kelvin Johns of Raleigh, N.C., Kaye and Terry Jones of San Jose, Costa Rica, Leisa and Alan King of Rushville, Ind., Rebecca and Jim Elliott of Monticello, Ind., Susan and Scott McCurdy of Chattanooga, Tenn., Sonya and David Kramm of Cambodia, Sara and Russell Foster of Piedmont, and Jennifer Myers of Chattanooga, Tenn.; sons, Jerry Brantham Jr. and Arleen, of St. Paul, Minn., Ivan and Rita Brantham, of Ringold, Ga., and John Brantham of Piedmont; a sister, Judith Mitchell, of Benson, N.C.; a brother, Landis Brantham, of Goldsboro, N.C.; 37 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m., at the funeral home, with burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
