George W. Strickland, 69, a lifelong resident of Brunswick, died Friday afternoon in a hospital in Savannah.
He is survived by two brothers, A.M. and C.H. Strickland of Brunswick, and one sister, Mrs. Ella Gordon of Jacksonville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the chapel of the Gibson-Hart Funereal Home, conducted by the Rev. M. R. Tenz, assisted by the Rev. Ben Wheeler of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Interment will be in Palmetto cemetery. Pallbearers will be C.H. Strickland, Laverne Strickland, John Goodbread, Jonnie Hodge and C.B. Miller.
