Mrs. Pitts was born in Beaver County, Okla. She came to Amarillo in 1935. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Rebecca Lodge.
Survivors include four sons, John of Amarillo, Dr. Robert of Plainview, Hardy of Green Valley, Ariz., and Jamie of Wichita, Kan.; five daughters, Mrs. Leah Potter of Russell, Ariz., Mrs. V.B. West and Mrs. Nell Touchstone, both of Amarillo, Mrs. Edna Bassett of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Otto Benson of Couer-D'-Alene, Idaho; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
