Mr. Egger retired from MP&L after 36 and a half years of service. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Hazlehurst United Methodist Church. In years past, he was active in church, civic affairs, Rotary and Lions Clubs. He was known to employees and friends as "Mr. Sid". He was much loved by his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include: wife of 67 years, Ina Jean; sister, Alice Burnett of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hazlehurst United Methodist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 725, Hazlehurst, MS 39083.
