Johnny D. Peters was born August 15, 1937 in Jackson County and departed this life Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, being 71 years of age. He was the son of the late Walter & Sarah (Parrett) Peters.
Johnny is survived by his wife- June (Baker) Peters of Tyner and by four children- Gentry Keith Peters, Johnny Ray Peters and Angela Harrison all of Tyner and Billy Peters of McKee. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters- Paul Peters of Tyner, Lee Peters of Annville, Danny Peters of Richmond, Lois Tyra of McKee and Bonnie Mills of Corbin. Johnny was blessed with eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by a son- Ricky Peters; by a brother- Robert Peters and by a sister- Ethel Silcott.
