T. J. Keetch Rites Held At Church
Thomas J. Keetch, 75,1134 NW Dallas St., died at his home after a short illness late Thursday night.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Calvary Baptist Church, with Dr. E. K. Oldham, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Southland Cemetery here.
The deceased was born in Galveston, Tex., but had lived in Grand Prairie for the past 23 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church, and the lOOF Lodge No. 44 in Dallas.
Early in life, Keetch was engaged in farming. In his latter years, he worked for furniture firms in both Dallas and Fort Worth. He recently retired.
Close associates of Keetch's described him as a "good father" and an "extremely kind" person.
Survivors include his wife, [Iva] Ira; one, daughter, Mrs. W. W. Blackburn of Grand Prairie; two sons, Orlace James Keetch and T. M. Keetch, both of Grand Prairie; 12 grandchildren; one great- grandchild; two brothers, L. P. Keetch of Fort Worth and E. Y. Keetch of Meridian, Miss.; and one sister, Mrs. Dolly West of Fort Worth.
