Some people have misattributed him to being a 2nd Lt in the Rev War and this is in error. There were two Benjamins who served from NY - a Benjamin and a Benjamin, Jr. neither of which fit this Benjamin's situation. This Benjamin was son to John "William" Wickham who died 1835. John mentions him directly in his Revolutionary War pension and was proven/accepted by the DAR as Ancestor #A125750.

A deed record, N-276, Morgan County shows that Banjamin Wickham and wife, Jerusha, deeded an acre of ground to the Trustees of Olive Township, "Where the graveyard now is,"; recorded 19 June 1846.
