Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Mae Allen Sims, 77, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Abundant Life Church, West Monroe. Bro. Raymond T Suttles and Bro. Jimmie P. Sims will be officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Calhoun, LA. under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Sims was born October 23, 1927 in Dodson, LA and passed away October 2, 2005 in Calhoun, LA.

Sister Sims' desire was to be known as a Christian woman who walked with God, and she was and did just that. She was a devoted Pastor's wife for fifty-two and a half years. Sister Sims was preceded in death by a granddaughter Tabitha Evangeline Sims and her seven siblings: E.C. Allen, William A. Allen, Ottice Henry, Alice Polk, Audrey Comeaux, Lessie White, and Annie Ruth Rider.

Mrs. Sims is survived by her husband of fifty-eight and a half years: Rev. Jimmie P Sims; four children: Jimmy Dale Sims and wife Glenda, Judy Darlene Sims Dycus, Janice Elaine Sims Chasas and husband Peter, Rebecca Sue Sims Sisson and husband Richard; nine grandchildren: Michael Dale Sims, Gary L. Dycus, Jr., Dana D Crumley, Jason C. Dycus, Christopher O. Smith, Micktric R Smith II, Jonathan C. Smith, Azlea Vanessa Pierce, Richard Glenn Sisson Jr.; five Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Grandsons will servce as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
