Margaret Catherine Ahbedaush Hanks, 80, White Earth, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, in St. Mary's Regional Health Center, Detroit Lakes, Minn. Margaret Catherine Ahbedaush, known as Ma, was born April 6, 1920, in White Earth, where she grew up and attended school. On May 14, 1939, she married Charles Hanks in White Earth, where they lived. He died in 1981. She is survived by six sons, Charles Jr. "Punkin'," Wayne (Susan), Bob, Julius (Melinda), Elvis, Leroy, all White Earth; three daughters, Marge (Lowell)Bellanger, White Earth, Ethel (Bob) Davey, Marilyn Teiken, both Moorhead; two sisters, Susan Butcher, White Earth, Ester Goodman, Mahnomen, Minn.; 33 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation: Today after 5 and continuing until 11 Saturday in St. Columba Episcopal Church, White Earth. Funeral: Saturday at 11 in the church. Burial: St. Columba Episcopal Cemetery, White Earth.
