Benjamin Franklin Allen was born Jan 25, 1846, Clarke County, Alabama and died April 16, 1925, Erath County, Texas. He was married on Jan 8, 1866 in Clarke County, Alabama to Amanda Jane Boutwell (born ca 1850, Alabama). Both are buried at Pilot Knob Cemetery in Erath County, Texas.
He moved to Texas from Clarke County, AL in 1876. Frank decided to move to Lubbock, Texas, with George and his family and they left Erath County on 12-31-1922 and arrived in Lubbock on 1-1-1923. He died at the home of George Allen in Lubbock on April 16, 1925. His remains were returned by train to Stephenville and buried beside his wife at the Pilot Knob
Cemetery.
