Geneva I. Broker, 84, died July 16, 2006 at Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born Jan. 27, 1922, in McPherson, the daughter of Leon Stanley and Myrtle Irene Settergran Lloyd. She graduated from Hutchinson High School. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was the office manager at Sears, retiring in 1984. She belonged to First United Methodist Church, American Legion Women's Auxiliary Unite No. 68, and the Red Hat Society.

On Sept. 8, 1941 she married Henry William Broker in El Dorado. He died Jan. 19, 2000.
Survivors include: a son, David E., South Hutchinson; a sister, Maxine Marsh, Hutchinson; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Turley.

Funeral will be at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mark Conard presiding. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in the Sylvia Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home.
