Marie E. Bryson of Shawnee died Saturday at a local nursing home. She was 92. She was born November 14, 1907 in Monroe. She was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Bridges.

She married Wade W. Bryson on November 20, 1924 in Poteau. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1981.

Survivors include four sons, Glenn Bryson of McAllen, Texas, James Bryson and Ken Bryson, both of Norman, Blaine Bryson of Shawnee, one daughter, Joyce Haney of Dayton, Ohio, fourteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and brother, Clyde Bridges of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Bernice Montgomery, grandson, Stanley Bryson, one brother and one sister.

The casket will be open until 1:00 p.m. Monday and will not be opened at the service. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery with Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
