Ralph Byram
Ralph Byram, 63, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 7 a.m. Friday at the Davenport Nursing Home in Davenport.
Ralph Thomas Byram is the son of Arthur and Edna (Hill) Byram, he was born April 21, 1912, in Ladora, Iowa Co., Iowa.
He had been a resident of Ottumwa before moving to Bettendorf in 1950. He was an employe of the Riverside Foundry in Bettendorf.
He was injured in a car accident in 1955 and had been a patient in the hospital and nursing home since.
He was married to Ester Nichols Leedom, June 2, 1951 and she died Nov. 11, 1965.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Nancy Swaim of Williamsburg; one son, David Byram of Portland, Ore.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bernard Shaw of Ottumwa; two stepsons, Keith and Rickey Leedom, both of Ottumwa; a brother, Al Byram of Kansas City; seven grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday at 1: 30 p.m. at the Reece Funeral Home. Dr. Ernest Martin of the Westley United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
