Clarence E. Barnes, Atlanta, GA and formerly of the Faubush community, died Saturday after a long illness.

The son of Bee Tarter Pennington, he was born June 16, 1898 at Faubush.

He was married to Louise Armstrong June 6, 1952 in Louisville.

Mr. Barnes was an inspector of the Internal Revenue Service. He was a member of the North DeKalb Christian Church, Atlanta. He was an honorary Kentucky Colonel.

Survivors are his wife, mother, the following children, Lt. Col. C. Edwin Barnes, Fairborn, Ohio; Mrs. David Adams, Lexington; Janie Barnes and Berry Barnes, Doraville, GA, two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Wilson, Faubush; and Mrs. Edith Glatter, Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and one brother, William Pennington, Taylor, Michigan and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Lily Endenfield, Miami, Florida.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Pulaski Funeral Home with the Rev. L.D. Fisher officiating.

Burial in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
