Mr. Stanley L. Bausinger, 80, of 1763 Northway Road Extension, Williamsport, died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Bausinger was a United States Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Bausinger served in the European Theatre of Operations and had been deployed in Germany. He was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
Stanley retired in 1994 from the former Lycoming Braided Fabrics Company of Williamsport, now Lending Textiles Company.
Stanley was a graduate of the Class of 1944 of the Williamsport High School.
Born February 6, 1927, at Williamsport, he was the son of the late Lewis L. and Nellie Liddic Bausinger. He was preceded in death in 1995 by his wife of 38 years, the former Caroline E. Craven Bausinger. They were united in marriage on November 16, 1957.
Surviving are his two sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley L. and his wife, Linda Bausinger of Ocala, Fla., and David W. and his wife, Emily Bausinger of Williamsport; six sisters, Beverly (Richard) Walters of Williamsport, Nellie Fisher of Antes Fort, Shirley Livermore of Williamsport, Sandra Muffley of Morrisville, Connie McGee of Morrisville, and Lois (William) Geyer of Watsontown; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his late wife and his late parents, Mr. Bausinger was also preceded in death by his three sisters, Dorothy Switzer, Erma DeSeau, and Vada Bausinger; and by his four brothers, Harold Bausinger, Alvin Bausinger, Robert Bausinger, and Edward Bausinger.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 East Central Avenue, South Williamsport. Rev. Maurice C. Frontz, III, Associate pastor at Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport, will officiate. Interment will be at Montoursville Cemetery, Montoursville, Pa.
