On Jan 25, 1911 he married Belva L. Wilson (June 29, 1891 Greenville, MI. – April 2, 1948 Mason, MI). She was the daughter of Joseph Wilson and Hannah Dixon.

Cecil and Belva are buried in the Felt Plains Cemetery, Leslie.

In the 1910 census Cecil is 19, and a hired hand, living with Fred and Myrtle Disenioth in Onondaga Township.
