His wife, Hazel G. Conley (1915-1972) preceded him in death. He was the owner of Oceana Land Co. and formerly owned Oceana Lumber and Supply Co. He was a lifelong Wyoming County resident and was a member of the First Church of God in Oceana.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sally Jean Conley-Paitsel of Oceana: three sons, W.D. Conley of Norfolk, Va., George W. Conley Jr. of Uniontown, Pa., and C.C. Conley of Atlanta, Ga. and 12 grandchildren.
Burial will be in Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny.
