GROVER C BARRON DIES; FUNERAL TO BE HELD SATURDAY
Grover C. Barron, 83, 402 East Rollins, died this morning at 8 o'clock in Whitaker Hospital where he had been a patient for three months. He had been in failing health for the past three years.
Born Aug. 25, 1885, on a farm near Higbee, son of Zachariah and Nancy Cash Barron. He had spent his entire life in the Moberly area and was retired several years ago as custodian at the Wabash Hospital. He was married July 2, 1922 to Miss Hester Bryant, who survives. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Other survivors are one son, E. B. Barron, Cuero, Tex., one daughter, Mrs. Don Litchfield and one granddaughter, Lee Ann Litchfield, both of Moberly, four sisters, Mrs. Lilly Hannah, Mrs. Dolly Nichols and Mrs. Joella Nichols, all of Moberly and Mrs. Lucy Halley, Huntsville; two brothers, Jess Barron, Hunnewell; and Charley Barron, Clay City, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Million and Greer Funeral Home where services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ronald Bollinger, pastor of the Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin tomorrow at 2 p.m.
